Drill Sheets:
Below are links to the drills that we typically do at practice. When developing the stroke we will always start with the body position in the water, building an understanding of how to move through the water. Next we add in the kick, and will ways explore ways to improve the kick. Our legs our are engine and our balancing mechanism. Having a strong kick is essential to improving your swimming.
After the kick we will start to build feel and flow to the stroke. Understanding how you move in space, how to control you body in the water, and how to feel the water takes time to develop. Never be discouraged if you don’t get understand or perfect a drill right away. We will start slow and build the stroke at a rate that each swimmer can properly handle and understand.
